Water forms spots on almost any surface that comes in contact with splashing water. When water droplets are left for air drying, they usually leave a cloudy film if there is a high alkaline composition in the water. Glass is especially complicated since any imperfection is clearly shown on the surface. Luckily, hard water spots are easy to remove from the glass.
- Fill an aerosol bottle with 1 quart of water and 1 tablespoon of distilled white vinegar.
- Spray the vinegar mixture directly on the surface of the glass, mist slightly for minimal accumulation or much more if you have a large area of thick water spots.
- Scrub the glass with a cleaning cloth, rubbing with small circular motions as clean.
- Examine the glass after cleaning. If there are still any water spots, spray more vinegar solution and continue rubbing.
